How We Work:

1. Talk to us! We will help you choose the best cat for your household and lifestyle, based on a simple conversation.

2. Complete the online application, to give us the opportunity to screen for any potential safety or compatibility issues at your household.

3. Meet the kitty candidates, based on the best match criteria for you. Make an appointment to visit our facility, so we can present the kitties for your “meet and greet”

4. Once your kitty is selected, we will need a 1/2 to 1 day to monitor and prep him/her for you (make sure they’re clear of any parasites, administer additional vaccines, install microchip, and write up and adoption contract.

5. Come pick up your kitty and pay the adoption fee of $200 (which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip, any required meds). Venmo, Zelle, cash. Bring your cat carrier for safe transport!

The mission of Furry Friends Foundation is to facilitate the best cat adoption Los Angeles has ever seen! We want to give homeless cats in the greater Los Angeles area a chance at a normal healthy life by matching them with humans who stand to benefit from the companionship and emotional bond with a furry creature. We rescue street cats and kittens who are sick and pregnant and otherwise at risk, we fully vet them (medical treatment, spay and neuter, vaccination, socializing) and then we find them forever homes with loving human parents.

Why? Because we as humans have domesticated cats for our benefit, and just as they provide companionship and affection to improve our lives, so should we be responsible for their well being. It is a proven fact that feline contact lowers stress levels and prolongs one’s life span. Cats are a great remedy for loneliness and improvement of one’s mental and emotional health. It’s only fair that if we humans enjoy the benefits of owning cats, then we should bear the responsibility of assuring they happy and content, and get the attention and support they deserve to live a happy healthy life.

We stand firm on the principle of spay/neuter, to avoid more unwanted cats coming into this world, and the suffering they would endure as a result of being homeless.
